Baby of Pooja Kushwah

Today’s newborn is the future of tomorrow. NFI strives every day to get these little lives access to the best treatment so that they can become the future of tomorrow.

Pooja Kushwah and Vijendra Singh are based in Diwas, Madhya Pradesh. Vijendra is a farmer earning a living on a meager income.

Pooja gave birth to a baby girl who was born three weeks earlier than her due date. The baby was prematurely born at 26 weeks and weighed 780 grams. The baby suffered from conditions such as birth depression, where her body had trouble adjusting to life outside of the womb, and severe respiratory distress.

Due to the complications, the baby was referred to an advanced NICU center, where it was treated under the supervision of expert neonatologists with round-the-clock monitoring. The family comes from a farming background, and it was extremely hard to arrange for expenses for the NICU treatment. Understanding their financial difficulties, the team at Motherhood Hospitals referred them to the Neonates Foundation of India. The baby was put on IV fluids and drugs to cure her respiratory distress. The parents are ever grateful to NFI for having received timely support and help.

Today, this little warrior is a 3-month-old baby girl, waiting to wrap the world around her little finger. Today’s newborn is the future of tomorrow. NFI strives every day to get these little lives access to the best treatment so that they can become the future of tomorrow.
